Thank you so much for everything you guys do on this board :) My mother has lung disease w/pulmonary fibrosis, so I was shocked when he brought up the nodule in her lung.Īnd if anyone has any info, or tips, on the fine needle biopsy procedure I would greatly appreciate it! My Dad had a fine needle biopsy of his liver, but my Mom's is going to be her lung and I'm pretty nervous about that. Is that 8mm x 10mm, or 8cm x 10cm? I feel like I'm in a daze with this info, as my Dad passed away 12/22/10 from SCLC after only 4 months. It was 4x7 6 months ago, and has increased to 8x10. He showed it to me on his computer screen, which also had the size on it. He strongly suspects it is, based on growth and characteristics. He is scheduling her for a fine needle biopsy, and discussed removing a portion of the lung if it is cancerous. My mom had a visit with her pulmonologist yesterday, and he talked to us about a nodule in her lung that had grown over the past 6 months. ![]()
